Eric Carlin, October 2007
Eric’s career experience has included working in the private, public and voluntary sectors. He is currently Chief Executive of Mentor UK, the charity which focusses on developing effective drug misuse prevention activities and his last post was as Chief Executive of Angel Drug Services, a London-based street drugs agency.
Eric’s Governmental and Inter-Governmental work includes current activities leading for the UN’s Vienna NGO Committee on Narcotic Drugs on developing civic society’s engagement with the United Nations. He was also recently elected Vice Chair of this Committee.
Eric has twice been elected as Chair of the English Drug Education Forum and he currently holds that position.
Previous work experience included Community Care planning and implementation and running local and international HIV/AIDS programmes.
Voluntary experience has included being a Trustee of Childhope UK and of Southern Housing Foundation and chairing Islington Community Health Council and Camden & Islington Local Community Advisory Group.
Eric is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
